Update SBMG SMS Gateway
Learn how to update to a new version of our android sms gateway service
Prior to v1.0.8 (Regular install method)
Go to the settings page at SBMG portal (portal.sbmg.app) and select the ‘Gateway Download’. This will present a QR code that you can scan on your android device to get the app download. Proceed through the download, open the downloaded file and install.
v1.0.8 onwards
In version 1.0.8 we added the ability to check for updates directly in the android app. Open the SBMG SMS gateway on android, click settings under the menu button in the top right and then tap ‘check for updates’. This will confirm if a new version is available and being downloading the update.
Once the download completes you will be prompted to install the update by the system. Confirm the install and reopen SBMG once complete to confirm the gateway is connected and you don’t need to log in after the update.
